European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be in Romania on Monday to discuss with the Romanian authorities primarily about European defence on the eastern flank, President Nicusor Dan said on Sunday.
He also said that the talks with the European leader will address "the issue of the deficit and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR)".
"As you know, Mrs von der Leyen has visited countries on the eastern flank. There will be a discussion regarding European defence on the eastern flank, the SAFE mechanism, and matters concerning our relations with the European Commission and, it is no secret, the issue of the deficit and the PNRR," said Nicusor Dan.
