National leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Ludovic Orban announced on Friday that the goal of his party is to table a censure motion against the government next week.
"I have nominated a drafting team for the text of the censure motion. I will unveil the draft censure motion text to the Executive Bureau on Monday, and we will set up the negotiating team at the meeting of the Executive Bureau on Monday, which will be mandated to negotiate with all parliamentary groups and with more or less affiliated MPs. We will set up a board to organise all the protest actions that we will take against this tax havoc, still not started because the emergency ordinance was not published. Our goal is to submit a censure motion next week," Orban said at the Parliament House.
He added that there would be enough signatures for tabling the censure motion.
Orban pointed out that the main criticism against the Government levelled in the censure motion concerns the ordinances on tax measures.
He said that the censure motion would also include criticism of the disastrous state of transport infrastructure.
Asked what PNL would offer to ten lawmakers in exchange for the vote on the censure motion, the PNL national leader replied "they are given the opportunity to respect their voters and make decisions that meet the needs and interests of citizens who have sent them to Parliament."
Orban reiterated that if the censure motion clears Parliament, the PNL national leader should be nominated the next prime minister.
He also indicated that the Liberals will hold protests against the measures adopted by the Government, adding that a schedule will be set. AGERPRES .
