Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca met on Thursday with Azomures SA CEO Harri Kiiski, the discussions being focused on identifying solutions to maintain the production of competitive fertilizers in Romania, in the context of the current energy crisis.
According to a Government press release sent to AGERPRES, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Adrian Chesnoiu, and the representative of the AMEROPA Group, Mihai Anita.
"Discussions focused on finding solutions to keep fertilizer production competitive in Romania, in the context of the current energy crisis that has led to higher natural gas prices. The prime minister voiced his appreciation for the efforts of the company's management and pointed out that maintaining a stable and predictable business climate for companies is a priority for the Government he leads. The support of the important producers in Romania will have significant effects on the development of the economy and will contribute to job stability," reads the release.
