The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) reiterates the known position in respect to implementing the "two-state solution," regarding Israel and Palestine, to coexist in peace and security and the need to put an end to this conflict.
According to a release sent to STIRIPESURSE on Thursday, MAE reiterates the constant commitment of Romania to the efforts of the international community of contributing to a fair and sustainable solving of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which should agree with both sides' interests, and to ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East.
"MAE finds that the promotion today, 21 December 2017, of the resolution draft on the topic of the status of Jerusalem comes up in a moment when prudence should be shown. MAE believes rather necessary, in this stage, the relaunch of the direct dialogue aimed at unblocking the peace process. Consequently, Romania has abstained from voting in the UN GA."
