The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) announced that 188 defendants were handed down final court sentences in November and December 2015 in cases handled by the institution.
"In November and December 2015, 65 final court rulings were handed down in cases built by DNA, sentencing 188 defendants, including: a first prosecutor with a court prosecution office, a judge, nine lawyers, two bailiffs, five corporate executives, one city mayor, a university rector, two doctors, five police officers, four Financial Guard commissioners and five customs officers," reads a DNA release.
According to the release, the sentences handed down range from 11 years in prison to a one-year suspended term.
