The Presidential Administration said that the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for National Defence (CSAT) is taking the necessary steps to obtain the individual approval of the Council members for the release of a decision on the revision proposals for the 2018 budget of the institutions responsible for national security institutions.
"Following the August 14 letter of the Minister of Public Finance to the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for National Defence on the proposals to revise the 2018 state budget of the institutions competent for national security, the CSAT Secretariat sent the document for examination and the release of an opinion by August 17 to the institutions directly envisaged by the budget revision, specifically: the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Romanian Intelligence Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Protection and Guard Service and the Special Telecommunications Service. The CSAT Secretariat is currently taking the necessary steps to obtain the individual approval of the Council members for the release of a CSAT decision on the proposals for the revision of the 2018 state budgets of the institutions with national security responsibilities," the Presidential Administration said.
